5) Dominican Republic - The Dominican Republic (DR) is situated on an island that was looked up to as Hispaniola in the age of adventurers. The Dominican Republic is one of two countries on the second largest island in the Antilles islands. Haiti is the other nation sharing the island to the eastern, with Puerto Rico that lies westerly.
