On this date, in 1981, Robert Nesta Marley, passed away at the age of 36, due to Cancer.
There is no question that Bob is not only a legend in music, but in life, culture and religion. His legacy and music lives on through many of his 12 children; most notably, Damian, Steven and Ziggy. His music has touched and influenced many across the world either in it's original form or through the countless remakes by other artists. His name is synonamous with Jamaican culture and Rastafarian beliefs.
Bob Marley was a man well ahead of his time, in music and belief. Play one of his songs today and they resonate as strong, even stronger than they first did in the '60s.
