GPS

Are these people serious with their GPS unit permanently affixed to their windscreens? I guess its a good thing to have incase you can't find your way to the mall, supermarket or your friends house or back home for that matter.

Here I was thinking it was designed to serve as a replacement for the now seemingly prehistoric paper maps and mapbooks. If that's the case it makes me wonder if people used to use their map book to plot the quickest route to their local big box store or try new and interesting travels to work on an already busy and frustrating morning commute.

All that being said, it ultimately comes down to what works for you and what you're most comfortable with. If you feel most comfortable sitting in your driveway or underground of your building punching in address to your parents house. The address to a home where you lived for the majority of your life. As you head down the road, subconsciously driving any one of the many routes you are familiar with only to be chastized by the GPS lady who is giving you turn by turn directions along the longest most time consuming traffic congested roads her GPS brain can concoct; and you're not following.

Then all the power to you, after all you bought the thing might as well use it
